EDUCATION

  • B.S. 2002, University of Wisconsin-Madison
    Pharmacology/Toxicology

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

  • University of Wisconsin-McArdle Laboratory for Cancer Research; June 2002-present.
Advisor - Christopher A. Bradfield, PhD
Project - The Bradfield Lab focuses on how the Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor (AhR) mediates toxic responses and AhR's role during development. I am currently mapping genetic modifiers of dioxin-induced cleft palate.
  • University of Wisconsin Comprehensive Cancer Center, 1998 - 2002
Advisor - John E. Niederhuber, MD, UWCCC Director
Project - The Niederhuber lab studies the src-like kinase, Blk. I studied a putative Internal Ribosomal Entry Site within the 5' untranslated region of blk mRNA.

PUBLICATIONS

  • Dunham EE, Stevens EA, Glover E, Bradfield CA. The aryl hydrocarbon receptor signaling pathway is modified through interactions with a kelch protein. Mol Pharmacol. 70:8-15, 2006.
  • Thomae TL, Stevens EA, Liss AL, Drinkwater NR, Bradfield CA. The terarogenic sensitivity to 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin is modified by a locus on mouse chrosome 3. Molecular Pharmacology 69:770-775, 2006.
